Pampering session; Herbaline Miri.

Salam & Hi!
I am never a big fan of facials.
Simply cuz I don't like it when they poke my face - even if it's to take out the blackheads and stuff..
I just don't like it. :/

..but I do love getting pampered!
Like, seriously.
Hahaha.

I was badly looking for a place with a good body massage (and affordable!) so I drove around town to look for one.
Initially I wanted to go to this one place but unfortunately she wasn't available..:\
Then I remembered that I keep on commenting on this Herbaline huge signboard by the road where it stated their current promotion, which is the RM38 nett for a facial for a first timer!

..then I randomly went.
Too bad their body massage was a tad too expensive for me, so I went on to try their facial!

It.was.heavenly.
:]

What I love the most was the head & shoulder massage they gave me ooooohhhmannn.
(Y)
I'd have to thank my promoter for that day, she was extremely nice!
Her name is Audrey - too bad I didn't take any photos with her:/

It was a bit hard to take a lot photos as well cuz I only brought along my 50mm prime lens..
=.=

So...
before you start your facial, you'll be headed to this place where you get to soak your feet in!

I was hoping she would give me a foot massage as well bahahaha.
But they didn't - although they provide you with a brush for you so you could do it yourself. :]

The main point of this place is to get you relaxed,
and I'd have to say that I immediately felt so relaxed when I saw their interior..
It's soooo "spa like"!
Lol.

While you soak your feet in, those are baskets/their kind of locker to store your shoes in; which they will nicely keep it for you.
All you have to do is just enjoy and relax.

After that's done, Audrey lead me upstairs where the facial rooms are.

At the entrance of the rooms, you'll be asked to breathe in/out their lavender scent which is boiled in a pot like so..

Sorry that I couldn't take photos of the room tho, cuz it was quite dark.
I love the music they played during the session, it made me feel like I was somewhere else..
..by the beach..on vacation..
I slept like a baby for a while bahahaha.

After facial & the shoulder and head massage, I was given a lemongrass tea & also another pot of different scent for you to breathe in more in order to make you feel all refreshed.
I felt like a princess nyehehe.

The last treatment to conclude the facial was..

fish spa!
...it was too ticklish I couldn't stand it even for 5 minutes lololol.

Even by looking through these photos again makes me feel WARGHWARGHWARGH hahahahaXD

A bird's nest I saw while I was in the fish spa pool.
Teeheee.

Eat my dead skin fishies!
Muahaha.

Purple orchids! My absolute favorite flower!
:D

If you have never been to Herbaline Miri,
you should go and try their facial (for first timers only) while it's still on promo!
It's only RM38nett (they don't even accept tips!)

I'm not sure for how long the promotion lasts,
so go ahead and try your luck!;)

The Croods + Laundry Cafe = My Thursday well spent!

Halu!

Have you ever cried in the cinema while watching movies?
If so, what kind of movies?
My case; I always cry watching cartoon/animated movies in the cinema.
-.-

For some reason they're just so sad and I cry and and and *BAWWWWLLSSS*
I cried watching Toys Story 3 (or was it 2?) and today I cried again watching this awesome movie that you must go and watch as well!:D

*photo courtesy of Mr Google as usual

Definitely was a worthy random picked movie to watch today.
Glad that I didn't wanna settle for anything else besides this.
Muahahaha.

Also cuz I have been reading people's tweet about how good it is la kan.
Heeee.

We actually planned to watch a 3D movie today and guess what?
I just decided to leave my lenses at home and wore glasses!
Pfffft.
Now imagine me fiddling with my 3D glasses finding out ways to actually put it on top of my actual glasses.

*repeat.

After the movie we decided to try the sort of new cafe; The Laundry Cafe!
Also because I saw my IG friends (Haffy & Nadine if you're reading this I found out about it from you ladies!;) ) uploaded photos of the food from this cafe and it looked interesting!

Jojoe & I actually went to this place way back when it was still just a laundry place.

The new concept is pretty interesting I must say,
one thing that's lacking was just music.
They didn't play any music - which they really should cuz that would be so perfect.

Relaxing instrumental or acoustic music would be nice.

It's literally a Laundry cafe where you can do your laundry and drink and eat and chill while waiting your clothes washed and dried.
Lawl.

The menu.

..and my dates & I.

 Simple but pretty interior ♥‿♥

Pretty little details of the shop..
Miri should really have more and more places like these!
We should have loads and loads of cafes like in Japan:D
Yes?
Teeheee.

What we ordered;

Iced Ribena, Iced Bandung Longan & Hot tea.

Puding Sago Gula Melaka.
I liked this one a lot!
They're quite generous with the gula melaka and the sago pudding tastes so yummehhh.

Gotta love the presentation of their food too (:

Pisang Goreng Cheese.
Didn't quite like this one, simply cuz the banana was overcooked. :/

So far the only place I ever had tasty banana cheese fritters was at a shop called 3 puteri or something- located in Piasau but they closed down:3

Mashed potato.
Coming from a person like me who doesn't favor mashed potatoes,
I'd have to say I actually liked this one.
The gravy was nice, as well as the mashed potato itself!
It made me wonder tho..is the gravy are from the instant ones or do they make it themselves?
Lawl.

Price wise..
I don't really know how to tell anymore lately, honestly.
Food are getting more pricier it gets annoying.

The total of our food was RM20+ less than RM30.
I can only remember that the mash potato was RM6 per bowl.

So..you tell me whether it's pricey or just normal and okay.
Teeehee.

Will probably come back here with the bestie.
Maybe try their real food ..(those were just snacks) hehehe.

Alrighty.
Blog again soooooonnn!:)

November 5, 2012

Our (failed) garage sale! :\

Heeeeluuu!
As promised, here's a post about the Garage Sale we had yesterday..
Sadly, it rained heavily so it didn't go quite well.
Rainy season here in Miri, obviously not the perfect time to have garage sales.
But! We kinda did it for fun..
So there!:)

We did get few visitors while it was all sunny..

It's always fun to look at people coming looking all excited to Nanna's place every time we decide to have any kind of sale thingy there teeeheee.

I kept on bringing the stuff in & out cuz the weather was so confusing!
The moment I took it all out, it starts drizzling & when I put it all back in, why of course it was all sunny again out of a sudden!

..but then it started pouring non stop till night till it had a mini flood..
Thank god it didn't rain heavily the whole night; that would be terrible for the area :3

My car was parked at the side and when it rained we couldn't see half of our car tires :|
All is good, all is good - no worries.

Next sale would be a baking sale at the end of the month or maybe early next month.
Colorful cupcakes, cakes, all the yummy desserts & food..ohhhh drools.
It would be in Brunei tho.
We're invited to join.. I am hoping that we could actually make it.

Blog again soon!
