Men's skin care routine?

Hi!
Finally..I am actually blogging about this.
Not quite sure if I do have male readers...
But, if I do.. I am so sorry if this post (that I have been talking about too much) won't give you too much info or anything.

But anywaysssss,
I just wanna share with you - Jojoe's current skin care routine.
Mind you, he was extremely ( okay perhaps I am exaggerating a bit here) lazy when it comes to taking care of his face.

I had a problem with his oily skin..
I am not quite sure why, I just somehow find it annoying for him to have oily skin & not do anything about it
hahahahaha.
So back then I used to try making him take extra care of his skin (face) by getting him oil blotting papers, made him buy himself facial cleansers..and whatnot.
He agreed to it yes, but he was still quite lazy about it (but he did it anyways cuz he spent his money on it) until the day he got curious of my visits to Nature Republic.

For some reason he got hooked to Nature Republic & yay that's good news to me;
cuz it means he will finally actually be interested in taking care of his skin!

..and also cuz he is such a health freak now that he takes care of his body & yadayadaaaa.

He's been asking me about skin care ever since,
which I love so much - it's like blogging to him face to face teeeheee.

Not that I am good or that I know so much about skin care,
it's just one of the little things that makes me happy, you know?

What I am going to show you is his second set of his skin care routine,
which is different than the first set that he used to have.

Why am I sharing this is because it is so much easier for guys especially!
You know how girls sometimes have so many things to put on their face everyday?
That's something I actually enjoy doing (layering skin care) but that's what Jojoe hates the most.

My everyday skin care routine would include;
1. Facial wash
2. Toner
3. Eye cream
4. Moisturizer
5. Sunblock
6. Oxygen Mist

...and I still have this serum on my list of things to get.
I just simply love having to put all those things on my face everyday!

For his first set he had;
1. Facial wash
2. Toner
3. Moisturizer
4. Sunblock
5. Make up remover (for the sunblock cuz it's thick)

..and that was recommended by the sales person (ehemsss not me!)
It was all from Nature Republic.
Both of us could really see the difference, it made his face looks more fresher and cleaner.
But...
eventually he got tired of the sunblock applying & removing it..
So he decided that he needs one thing that serves for all
hahahaha.

Can't believe he actually found one.
-__________-
I fail.
Lol.

From left;
Facial wash , Africa Bird's All in One controller and Nivea's UV blocker.

So now he has only 3 things to apply everyday.

Mmmkays,
let me just explain briefly what does what.

Facial wash - It cleanses your face from all the dirt you collected all day.
Apparently this one helps to control his oily skin as well.

The All in one controller thing is very interesting to me! It works as a toner + lotion + essence!
That pretty much means it's gonna help your skin to be moisturized & provide your skin with all the things that it needs hahahaha.
It even says on the box that it is a perfect solution to men!
Hahhh!

Last thing is the UV blocker.
I chose that one for him cuz he has obvious pores and spots.
This Nivea UV Blocker is gonna help repair the skin cells & reduce the dark spots and even helps to even uneven skin tone.
..AND it has SPF (it's an UV blocker obviously) so that covers the sun block issues!
Also, it is water based.
For some reason both Jojoe & I find that amusing.
Lol.

If you are wondering whether or not those products really work,
we should all go ask him hahaha.

I did notice some changes like I have mentioned,
his face is more cleaner & fresher looking now and also his friends (according to him) has been noticing the changes too!
One of them actually wanted Jojoe to get him the exact things that Jojoe has been using, how interesting?

It's really easy and simple;
I have to give credits to the All in One Africa Bird from Nature Republic.
It makes a guy's job so much easier since it has pretty much everything in it;
the only thing that's missing is some SPF - the reason why Jojoe has to get the UV blocker thing.

I do recommend for guys (if I do have guy readers)
to actually get your hands on that.
It makes your everyday skin care routine so much easier & it smells so niceeee!

It's always good to take good care of your self ;
body, mind and soul -
as early as you can!
So now that you have read that,
if you haven't actually started taking care of your skin,
then probably it's time ;)

Don't wait till your face is full of pimples & spots or when you're all wrinkly,
start now!

Blog again soon!

ps: This is a personal review; I am not in any way affiliated to any company, unless stated.

Simple, easy lasagna!

Hullo!

I have been craving for some lasagna for quite a while now..
..and I couldn't find any here that's to my liking.
I love beef lasagna, I have never tried seafood lasagna (from Pizza Hut; cuz most of my friends recommended the one there) mainly cuz I am not a big fan of seafood & also cuz I am allergic to it.
I hated Secret Recipe's lasagna (Miri's branch) so I figured the only way to actually have some decent lasagna is try to make one myself lawl.

I used to love love love Deli France's lasagna but too bad they're now closed.. T.T
I prefer my lasagna to taste like the bolognese spaghetti sauce plus the mashed potato taste
uhh maybe if you often eat lasagna you might know what I am trying to explain
hahahaha.
Not a big fan of the ones that has too much "herbs taste" in it too.
I think the one in Frattini tastes more to the herbs side
if that makes any sense teeheee.

Oh, I just discovered that that "mashed potato taste" is actually white sauce. :P
Well, sorry I am not a good cook so I didn't know.

So perhaps that's a good news for you?
Cuz if I am not a good cook & I still can easily make this lasagna...
logically I am sure you can do better than me hahaha:p
Please excuse my unflattering photos & mind you, this is my first time making lasagna!:)

I didn't plan on blogging about this
so I didn't take decent photos of step by step on making it and yadasss,
dearest Kak Buddy you should feel special cuz this post is mainly dedicated to you!;)

I'll try my very best to make this as simple as possible!
I am a bit sucky in explaining :\

Here goes.

Your lasagna will have 3 layers.
1. The beef
2. The white sauce
3. The lasagna sheets

Here are the main ingredients that you're going to need;

1. The Beef.

Ohh, I actually watched some YouTube videos & googled as well for recipes hehehe.
So if my explanation is too long - maybe you can watch videos in YouTube!;)

You'll need ;

- Instant lasagna sheets ( please don't get the "Magic" brand is not tasty:3 )

- Ready made traditional pasta sauce ( yehhh thank you to whoever invented this hahaha)
I used Kimball's & it only costed me RM4 for each bottle (Y) The taste is just right too, so you don't need to "modify" it that much. Aunt said Maggi's bolognese sauce is okay too. As for this measurement I used only 1 bottle.

- Chopped onions & garlics
Here I used 2 onions & uhmm 4-5 small cloves of garlic?

- Minced Beef
I used a packet of the frozen ones.

- Salt, pepper,
(and some Ajinomoto- you can replace this with "cukup rasa"?)

- Mozarella cheese

To prepare;

//  Heat up your pan with oil. Add in your minced beef & cook it till it's a bit brown (but not too brown). Make sure it's not overcooked (better to have some that's still raw).

// Add in a bottle of your pasta sauce. Stir.

// Add in the garlic & onions.

//  Add in the salt, some pepper & some Ajinomoto ( this is exceptional). The amount you put in is according to your liking. Taste your sauce & add in more if you like.

// Stir a bit & let it cook.

*ehems excuse the unflattering photos*

..and that's one done!
Simple, no?:D
Now let's move on...

2. The white sauce.

You'll need;

- 90g of Butter
-  6 tablespoons of Flour  (Tepung gandum)
- 3 cups of Full cream milk
- Salt
- Pepper
- A pinch of sugar

This measurement makes one medium bowl of the white sauce.

I prefer the sauce to be quite thick as above.

To prepare;

// Melt butter.

// After it is melted, add in the flour. Stir (and keep on stirring), make sure that it doesn't get all chunky cuz remember, it's a sauce! But if it does get chunky, 'fret not, just use a whisk to stir - it'll make all the chunkiness go away..(haha)

// Slowly add in the milk while you stir.

// Stir stir stir.

// Add in some salt & pepper to your liking; with a pinch of sugar.

// Keep on stirring till you get the texture that you prefer.
I prefer the thickness to be like.. mayonnaise.

Step 2 = Done!

3. The Lasagna Sheets.

To prepare;

// Heat up a pot of water.

// Add in some oil & salt.

// Put in the lasagna sheets from the box, boil till it softens.
Don't forget to separate it before putting it in! You wouldn't want it to stick to each other when it's done.

// Once it softens, separate the sheets from the water.
hahaha tuskan aek ya bahhhh. LAWL.

Okay, so that's that, and we're almost done!

Get your Mozarella cheese ready!

It's time to layer em!:D

First bottom layer ; The meat.
Second ; The white sauce.
Third ; Mozarella cheese!! Loadsssss of em! (if you like cheese that is :p )
Last ; The sheets.

I personally think it really doesn't matter which you wanna layer first.
I guess it'll look nice when you slice it later on if you layer it nicely & that's about it.
..also cuz I don't actually cut it, I just scoop it using spoon like ice cream muahahaha.

Pop it into the oven once you're done layering; for about 20 minutes.

ANDDDD YOU'RE DONE!

You can now enjoy your delly lasagna. :p

Uhhh, I kinda ruined my lasagna sheets..
That was the only problem I had when making these hahaha.

Baked beans on top whutwhutsaywhut now?
..cuz momma does not eat cheese so she requested no cheese layering & thus the random baked beans topping on top.
Not sure how it tastes like tho..:\
Blehh.

So the measurement I gave made this two medium sized lasagna.
But I did extra bowl of white sauce cuz we like it moarrr.

Some prefer to not cook the sheets first, but I like it to be cooked so it would be softer.

Yeappp, that's it!:D

Ps: Everyone has their own way on preparing their food (in this case the lasagna) therefore this is my way, this is how I prefer making my lasagna.

I hope I didn't forget any step or ingredients tho!

Have fun trying it out,
and I hope you'll like it!:)

Blog again soon!

Project #365!

heeeluuu.
I can NEVER finish ANY 365 project/challenge EVUR.
Let's try doing it again this year, shall we?
But this year I'm gonna Polyvore 365 outfits that I think looks nice, for my own inspiration, for me to dream about, for me to drool on, for me to add in to my wish list, yadayada.
So because it is already 5th January..
 I created 5 looks already hehehehe.

Enjoy!
Questions, comments, ideas, thoughts, let me let me know!;)
(Say..you need some ideas on how to wear your black shirt..or your striped tee..or something.)
..or perhaps you think what I put on together would look better with a different bag..
or something something.

Bear in mind that I am nowhere close to being "fashionable" or anything,
it is more to my personal interest sort of thing.
Also! That I am quite new at it!
So be nice;)

o n e out of three six 5

January 4, 2013

ohhh you know, just another "new year" post.

Elu!
So I've decided to share the photos I took during NYE.
Nothing much, but since I am not intending to keep it in my laptop or anywhere else..
Might as well share it here rather than deleting it, no?

..and also for the sake of updating.
;]

Also cuz I am still waiting for Jojoe to send me his skin care photos so I could blog about it.
Hahaha.

Cliché - but here goes!

Hi!
Happy New Year - falalalalala~
Surprisingly I felt nothing about new year this time around..
Except.. I still couldn't really digest the fact that it is already a new year?

Ohhh welpppp.
Spent my new years eve at Granma's place..
Had a small gathering & BBQ and stuff..
So there!

My birthday is coming up so soon as well..:\
Not extremely happy about it for two reasons;
a) I am getting older.
b) Jojoe will probably not be here.

...I am getting so much older.
Pssssh.

2013 resolutions?
I shall write it down in my new notebook (haha) and I shall not post it up anywhere at this side of the world.
For some reason I won't achieve anything if I post it up lawl.
But!
Here's my 2013 wish list!
hehehehehhhhh.

Wish List

Hoping to cross out few items within this year.
These are the few things I can think of right now..
I am so sure that it's gonna grow as days passes by.
Lol.

Too lazy to do a recap post thingy like how everybody did.
Nyehehehe.

Hey,,
wish lists does not mean that I am asking all those stuff from others mmkays?
I'm gonna PROBABLY save up for some of those HAHAHA.:P
Let's do this! (lame-.- but HIAKKK LET'S SAVE UP!)

AND
of course..
I pray to be a better person inside and out.
